"Oh! I'm kind of starving." Dawn sits up straighter and leans in to reach for a carton of food. It turns out to be beef and broccoli. She likes beef and broccoli. She unwraps a plastic fork and digs in, humming slightly in appreciation of food in her stomach. She hasn't eaten for a full day, after all. Anyone who knows Dawn, knows she can put away a lot of food.

She looks over to Eric, watching him for a moment as she eats. She really is a lot of trouble, a trouble magnet, even. She's a hot mess and it's a miracle that he keeps her around.

"I'm sorry." She tells him, knowing that he got injured in the battle with the faeries too. The faeries were after her, not him. The blood of the key. He got mixed up in it for her. And now that they know she's the key, more will come so that they can strengthen their portals to their world. "You know, just a... general apology for you almost dying because of me every other week."
