Well, if that was what she liked about him, it was a good thing he worked out?

He did as she ordered, moving to sit down at the round table in his kitchen. Mugged was more likely. Matt sincerely hoped not though. He'd feel guilty if that was the case. He would feel as if he should have been out there protecting people rather than here eating Halva with Fatima. "Or I just got lucky," he offered. He'd rather that be the case.

He grinned at Fatima's second order. "Congratulations. Tell me about it?" He was sincerely glad for Fatima and interested in her case. He was glad that she had a niche here, that she was doing good in the city, helping to make his city a better place.

He'd be happy to celebrate with her. He didn't have good news the way that Fatima did, but that didn't matter. He could still celebrate with her and for her.
