Honestly, there's very little that surprises Eric. He's lived through and
seen so much. It's not that different from the Fae opening portals, but she
does it with her blood outside of her body instead of in it, the way Fae do
and, as far as he knows, Fae can't open a portal to just any dimension, but
he'd known little to nothing about the Fae before Sookie had disappeared a
few years ago. The gray area is easier. Human beings just tend to
make it more difficult. He likes that Dawn doesn't.
He nods a little. "Should he appear, she won't be the first goddess I've
tangled with." He didn't fare well against the last one, but he had
lived. He smirks a bit at the congratulations. "I'll have to get myself a
cake and uncork a particularly nice vintage." Except that he doesn't eat
cake and anything he 'uncorks' would be a person and their blood. "Perhaps
I'll just get you the cake and the wine." He can taste it better that way
anyhow.
"And I like you a lot as well," he assures her. His words are glib, but his
tone of voice is fairly serious.
"You should definitely start carrying your crossbow and I'll have one of
the wolves trail you in the daytime. I'll also make certain that everyone
knows if they harm you they'll have to tangle with me." That'll be a
deterrent to some at least.
