Her response feels like a punch in the gut. Sawyer doesn't have to explain; Stiles knows exactly what she's talking about already and the fact that she didn't call and ask him to come home or that he hadn't stayed in close enough touch to know that she'd need him to come home kills him a little on the inside. Mostly because...Stiles knows how it feels to lose his mother. His died half his life ago, but it still hurts to think about and he still misses her every day.
