He's pleasantly surprised. Sometimes, Matt underestimates people's
tolerance for weird. He also gets a little hung up and frustrated on the
bad press he gets. He knows; he should stop listening to Trish Talks (but
he likes her voice--shut up).
Color Matt impressed and his faith in humanity at large momentarily
somewhat restored. He tries to get Foggy in the cab with as little pain as
possible and he smirks a little at the amusement in Foggy's voice. He does
one of those subtle little rubbing the top of his ear with his middle
finger things that people do, not because he's mad at Foggy but to foster
that amusement. "You're welcome," Matt responds, leaning in slightly to nod
at the cabbie "thanks," he tells him as he takes a step back.
He'll disappear into the alley, but he makes sure to listen until the cab
drives off then he heads up a fire escape and over the roofs of the
building to beat Foggy and the cabbie to his apartment. Once he's at his
own fire escape, he slips inside, sheds the armored suit and throws on a
pair of sweats, tee shirt and tennis shoes. He barely remembers to grab his
cane and his sunglasses at the front door before he's headed down the steps
to meet the cab just as it's pulling up to the curb.
