Open Post 2016 2017 Edition

☻Pick one of my characters or drop any of your characters in and get a random choice.
☻Pick a scenario or use RNG (or make one up if you don't see what you want here).
☻Have fun!

I. Roadtrip
1. BREAK DOWN. Oh snap. Your car decided to break down out in the middle of nowhere. WHAT DO? Is that Leather-face? Will this be "Children of the Corn"?
2. HITCHHIKERS? Is this even a good idea? Threads may also have a third participant. Go wild.
3. WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST HIT? Dude, I hear deer mess up cars... Or I think that was a deer...
4. DON'T MAKE ME TURN THIS CAR AROUND. Alas. You're the parent or disgruntled friend who has had it up to here with all the fighting in the back. This thread may also have a third or even fourth participant, if you can wing it.
5. OMG, I WANT TO TAKE A PICTURE OF THIS LANDMARK! No, no, and no. You tell that person that they're going to be driven around and they're going to like it.
6. THE GREAT ESCAPE. Either dinosaurs or the moth-man is chasing you. Don't stop now.
7. MAKE OUT. For whatever reason, the person you're traveling with in the car. You would love to make out with them and then some.
II. Cuddles1. SWEET DREAMS. It's been a long day and all you want to do is sleep or just rest your eyes for a bit. Hopefully whoever is close by doesn't mind if you use them as a blanket.
2. STORMY WEATHER. The heavy rain, thunder, and lightning won't be letting up anytime soon. Luckily, it's the perfect weather to stay indoors and snuggle up close and keep warm.
3. SLOW DANCE. It's the end of a party, or maybe it's only the two of you, but the tempo is slow and the lights are low. Let your dance partner take the weight and just sway.
4. SURPRISE ATTACK. Time to invade someone's personal space. Are they working too much and need a distraction? Maybe you just wanted to brighten their day. Either way, they won't see it coming.
5. MOVIE NIGHT. It can be on the sofa or in a darkened theater, but you've got your popcorn and someone to settle against during your favorite movie.
6. I LOVE YOU, MAN. It's totally platonic, really. You're just very good friends, no matter what people like to think. But you just love your friend so much you want to hug them, whether they like it or not.
7. JEEPERS CREEPERS. Welp. You were just frightened. Was it a spider in the washroom, a ghost in the attic, a bad dream? Either way, you're looking for someone to cling to right now, and who better than that person right there?
8. HURT AND COMFORT. Whether you're sick in bed, just been dumped, or suffered a traumatic event, you need someone to wrap their arms around you and make everything go away.
9. SUNDAY MORNING. Maybe you just had a wild night. Maybe there's just not enough space at your place and you need to share your bed. Or maybe you just got really tired and someone else happened to be there. Doesn't matter because now the person with you looks way more comfortable than any blanket or pillow. Drape to your heart's content.
10. MOMENT AFTER. You just had incredible, vigorous sex and if you weren't a cuddler before, you are now. You're probably too exhausted to do anything else anyway. Just enjoy the moment.
11. PLAYER'S CHOICE. Pick one or make up your own!
III. Hurt/Comfort1. INJURY. You've been injured. Broken bones or bleeding out or maybe just a tiny little paper-cut. The choice is yours.
2. SICKNESS. You're sick and laid up in bed, at home or in a hospital. The severity is up to you.
3. FEAR/ANXIETY. Something is happening and you're scared beyond belief.
4. LOSS OF SENSES. Sight, touch, taste, hearing, smell, etc. You've lost some important sense or ability and now you're left to deal with it.
5. DESPAIR. Nothing is good or right anymore and you can't shake the depression. Maybe that friend of yours can help though.
6. MAKE UP. Fight or break up, it's time to make up.
7. RESCUED. You've just been held captive and/or tortured for however long and finally, someone has come to the rescue.
8. BAD ROMANCE. Fight, cheat on, abuse, whatever the case is, someone else can clearly see you need comfort from someone who isn't your terrible lover tonight.
9. LOSS. You've experienced a loss of some kind and need help getting through it.
IV. Texts from Last Night1.Go here
2. Make Magic happen
V. Intimacy1. PHYSICAL INTIMACY. It might just be innocent touches or it might be foreplay.
2. LONG CONVERSATIONS. Honest words can be more intimate than touch.
3. DRUNK. You're over-sharing or simply maudlin.
4. FORCED INTIMACY. Magic. A truth serum, whatever - you didn't mean to bare your soul, but that is precisely what you're doing right now.
5. SLOW-DANCING. There is something inherently intimate about trusting someone else to lead you, and someone trust you to lead them.
6. OTHER. Intimacy can come in many forms. Pick your poison.
VI. SENTINEL GUIDEPrompts
oo1. The Meeting:
How did you meet? Was it at an event organized specifically for finding your other half? By accident? Did you follow a mystical calling to them? Some other way?
oo2. Rejection:
Sometimes Sentinels or Guides propose a match but it's just not perfect. You don't feel the pull or maybe you think there is someone better or maybe you're already claimed. Maybe you were claimed and someone better came along?
oo3. Protection:
Sentinels are meant to protect Guides, any Guides, but it's even worse when they feel their Guide is in danger. They go feral; blind to anything but stopping and killing whoever threatened their Guide or the bond. Maybe someone attacked your Guide or you haven't bonded yet and you feel threatened or maybe you're the one doing the threatening. Whatever the reason, Sentinels in a feral state are dangerous and only their Guides can stop them.
oo4. Lost:
Sentinels often lose themselves in their senses. Either you're a Sentinel who has lost themselves or a Guide that has stumbled on one or a friend trying to draw them out. Unbonded Sentinels will find it hard to escape without a Guide. Or maybe you're bonded already which means you just need yours to come home.
005. Persecution:
Sometimes normal people or the government fear the power of Guides and Sentinels. Guides are empaths, feeling the emotions and sometimes passing thoughts of others and it can make people feel violated. Sentinels often have enhanced strength, which can make them dangerous. So they scorn them, hurt them or in the case of governments, regulate them.
oo6. Old-School:
Guides used to be treated on the same level as slaves. Unable to work unless their Sentinel said. Not allowed out on their own. They used to wear collars and couldn't own land or inherit money. Maybe the old ways haven't completely fallen out of style.
oo7. Unbonded:
Nothing sucks more than being an unbonded Guide or Sentinel. Always looking for your other half to fill that empty feeling but you probably have friends that aren't your match or who are trying to set you up with someone. Maybe you're skeptical about the whole love at first sight thing and haven't been looking.
oo8. Wildcard: Some mish-mash of the above or anything else you can come up with!
Other Options
Don't like any of the above? Here are some other options:1. Picture Prompt: go here or any of your other favorite picture sites. Leave me a few pictures and I'll set something up.
2. Pick a prompt from this prompt tumblr or try googling OTP prompts
3. Insomnia! One or both of you can't sleep. Be awake together.
4. Leave me a scenario, lyrics, a word or a quote

They've got plenty of padding in place before Stiles finally settles on the couch and holds his arms out to her. He feels like he's waited forever to be able to hold her and now he finally can. Again, he feels a little guilty about secretly feeling that way, but it is what it is. "All right, let's get this snuggle party started."
no subject
When Stiles holds his arms out for her, Sawyer dives into them, grabbing a blanket as she snuggles against his chest. She's got her legs stretched out along the length of the couch. "Now see, you're good at this," she tells him.
no subject
Stiles smiles when she basically jumps at him and his arms wrap around her a moment after she's settled and drawn the blankets up around them, complimenting his ability to nest properly.
"You know, I'm good with this, but...I'm seeing a potential issue," he points out. Then, Stiles nods at the remote all the way over on the coffee table. ...which is not very far away at all, but will require movement. His arms tighten around her. "What are we supposed to do with it all the way over there?" he asks, but makes no attempt to let her go. He's picking on her again. Stiles leans in and whispers into her ear with a smirk, "you did not think this through very well, Sawyer."
no subject
She groans a little at his realization. It's a valid problem. "Actually, I think you didn't think this through very well. If you'd put on Doctor Who we would have had hours of TV that it would just sail right through only pausing to ask us if we're awake at just the right time to go to the bathroom or get more food. I might have to re-evaluate your performance here," she tells him with a tsk.
She's not struggling to get away and that whisper in her ear sends goosebumps rushing over her skin. She swallows hard and reminds herself that this is Stiles. She doesn't need to go through that whole crushing on Stiles thing again.
no subject
He's still for a moment and then he leans back in, resting his chin on her shoulder, his face drawn in thought. "Well...somebody's going to have to get that."
Still, he makes no effort to loosen his hold or encourage her to actually get the stupid remote. Mostly, because he doesn't want her to move, lest she decide not to return to this exact spot and Stiles likes her right where she is.
no subject
She lifts a shoulder in a half shrug, unable to keep the smile off her face. "Blankets were my part and as you can see, that part is stellar. Netflix was your part." She actually manages to say this with a straight face.
"Hmmmhm," she hums in agreement, but she's not making an effort to break his hold. In fact, she seems rather content because she really kind of is.
She's not moving for the same reasons. She likes this spot and what if he shifts into something less welcoming and more 'you stay on your side, I'll stay on mine'? She's not taking that chance. "Or option B: We entertain ourselves and leave the remote where it is."
no subject
It doesn't escape his notice though that Sawyer isn't struggling for him to let her go, either. He tells himself that it's because she's comfortable and warm. It doesn't have anything to do with the fact that she's in his arms; that's just him. He doubts she really cares about that part one way or the other. It's hardly the first time they've done something like this before, anyway. It's just the first time that Stiles has probably wanted it more than he should.
"What did you have in mind?" he asks, sort of relaxing his hold on her without letting go.
no subject
Nope. Not struggling. She's had a crush on Stiles practically since they met. There's no doubt in her mind, at least, that the reason she isn't struggling has so much more to do with it being Stiles than the fact that she is comfortable and warm. He's so wrong. Of course, she assumes that Stiles's feelings for her are still of friendship, and she is happy to have her friend back. She'd made her peace with that a long time ago.
She presses her lips together when Stiles asks her what she had in mind. Unconsciously, she holds her breath a moment before exhaling and leaning up a little to look at him. Her hand moves from his chest to the curve of his neck and she swallows hard. If she's going to do this, she needs to do it now before she chickens out. She pushes herself up a little to press her lips against Stiles's lips, her hand sliding a little higher on his neck. She keeps the kiss soft, questioning, trying to gauge how he's coping with this new (to him) development.
no subject
The pause that falls after his question makes Stiles a little bit nervous, he has to admit, because he's not really sure why she isn't answering. He isn't sure if she's thinking or whether she had something in mind already and he missed a cue or something — that's an entirely possible and probably likely scenario, however much he doesn't like to admit that. But there's something about the way that she's looking at him that has his stomach tying itself in anxious knots and he can't tell if it's the good kind of anxious because something awesome is about to happen or if it's the bad kind because he's prompted something and she's going to tease him for a second and then bust out giggling because she thinks he doesn't care about her as much as he does and that sort of thing would've been funny in high school. Hell, it would be funny now if he didn't want the real thing so bad.
But then she kisses him and, for a second, his eyes are wide open with surprise before he finally closes them and, once he's processed that holy shit this is really happening, his hand makes its way to the side of her face, holding her jaw as he kisses her back. This is what he'd been missing out on in high school because he'd been too stupid to know he was feeling it, but he's not going to waste the opportunity now. No way in hell.
no subject
She really hopes that this has turned out to be the awesome kind of anxiety for him. She really hopes that she's not making a huge mistake and is about to lose her friend.
no subject
"Took us long enough..." he jokes. Hopefully, she doesn't take his tendency to make jokes as an offense or affront. It's the way he deals with things and this is a big thing that can go one of two ways. He's hoping, obviously, that they don't feel like it's a mistake, but at the same time, there's the possibility that she decides it is. So yeah, there's anxiety there and it's awesome, but also...not awesome at all as he waits on tenterhooks for some sort of positive response. A negative one might be too much to take.
no subject
"Hey, I've been on this track for a while, but you liked the friends thing better," she jokes with him. She definitely doesn't take offense or affront. Joking is an excellent way to cope with things. This doesn't feel like a mistake to Sawyer. This feels right and natural, like it's something she should have been doing her whole life. She slides a hand up to his cheek, fingers spreading a little. She keeps her eyes closed, taking a deep breath of him. There's so much about Stiles she missed and now she knows she's going to miss even more when he leaves.
no subject
Hopefully, the month break before the next semester will be enough for he and Sawyer to settle into something that will work for both of them before he has to go. Stiles would really hate to leave it unresolved.
He looks back at her fondly when she touches her cheek and he closes his eyes again, leaning to press another soft kiss against her lips after she's taken a deep breath. It's hard not to want to just keep kissing her when he'd been wanting to for ages and he hadn't ever felt like the time was right or she'd be into it — there was always an excuse, but there isn't, anymore. So now he wants them to go for it.
no subject
Sawyer shrugs a little at his stammering. "Probably both," she agrees. She bites the inside of her lip a moment then continues. "I was always afraid if I said something it would make things weird between us and you were my best friend here." Granted, she's not great at pushing herself outside of her comfort zone and making friends. Sawyer has always been content with one good friend. "Now...I figure if I screw things up really badly between us, I can avoid you for the rest of your time here." She says it with a bit of a smirk and a lift of her eyebrows. "So on a scale from one to ten, how badly have I screwed things up between us and do I need to start avoiding now or later?" She bites the inside of her lip again, breath held as she waits for him to answer. Butterflies are starting a riot inside of her belly and she's pretty sure she's going to be sick because she wants this all to be good. She wants this with the kissing and the holding, but only if he wants it too. He can probably feel her trembling ever so slightly with nerves.
Unresolved would be bad. She wants to resolve something between them before he has to go back. A month is a lot of time.
Yes. Going for it is her preference as well, and that's probably broadcast in the way she kisses him, deepening the soft kiss just a little, pressing against him a little more, fingers kneading at his neck as she kisses him.
no subject
But as she continues, he looks back up at her and huffs a little laugh. "Can I go with zero? You haven't screwed it up. At all," he promises. "We're good, we're totally good, because I was pretty sure that me doing something like this was what was going to screw things up and I'd be avoiding you," he explains, looking back at her sheepishly.
But apparently that's a moot point now because they're actually on the same page and they're kissing and Stiles is just so glad that everything is good and this isn't ending in a huge fight and the end of a friendship. Breaking from it to take a breath, Stiles presses his forehead against hers. "I'm still going to have to go back to school next semester...does that screw everything up?"
no subject
His admission gets a surprised look out of her that morphs into rolling her eyes at him. "You're so dumb, aren't you?" She says it fondly though. They've both been dumb, or maybe they'd just been waiting for this moment. In any case, this seems right and things never did back then. Sawyer had felt like there were moments, but they'd disappeared as fast as they'd come along.
Such a moot point. No fighting and no ending of the friendship, at least that seems to be the case and Sawyer is grateful for it. She swallows hard at his question. "I've been trying to forget about that since you showed up on my door," she answers him honestly. There's a pause where she closes her eyes and breathes him in, lying against him, his forehead pressed to hers. She finally opens her eyes and looks up at him. "Not if we don't want it to. There's this fancy new thing called Skype and it's not that far a drive if I want to come visit."
no subject
Frowning slightly, he reaches up with one hand to hold her face. "I'm sorry. No, but you're right. I just...you know, have to remember that I need to carve out time for Stiles once in a while. I wasn't really doing that last semester and that's why I sort of fell off the face of the planet. I'll have to learn to budget my time better so that I have time to breathe and then reaching out to keep in touch will be second nature, not something that I forget to do entirely."
He pauses. "...you've always been good at that. Time management..." He's pointing it out for a reason but he's not going to come right out and ask her to help him get his shit together because that feels like a little too much. But the implication is clearly there; Sawyer knows him well enough to know that.
no subject
She listens to him, nodding a little as she does. She's never been to college, but she can understand how that would happen in a new environment with new people and so many new responsibilities.
The implication is there and she hears it and it makes her smirk. "Hello? Have you met me? Can you imagine how I'm going to blow up your phone, your laptop and possibly your dorm room if you don't make time for me?" The last is a joke
probably. "We can set up skype dates and we'll talk a lot. You'll come here. I'll come there. It'll be okay at least as long as you don't mind having a virtual girlfriend part time."She absolutely is not going to fall into that trap of being afraid that a long distance relationship won't be enough for Stiles and that they'll fall apart before they ever even start because of the distance. Nope. She's not going to do that.
Except that she's kind of already doing that. She's a mess. It's true.
no subject
Though, the rest sounds good anyway, being able to talk to her that often and to see her more than just on his breaks. Stiles gives Sawyer a little squeeze and shakes his head, his nose against hers. "I don't think the part-time virtual girlfriend thing is going to be a problem," he promises.
The thing is, Stiles doesn't trust people all that easily. At least, not in a way that would promote an intimate relationship, anyway. So the idea that having a long distance girlfriend might not be "enough" never even occurs to Stiles. "Are we going to watch the movie or just pretend to?" he wondered aloud with a little smile. Quite frankly, he'd be fine with either.
no subject
"I can help you with time management," she tells him with a grin. "We'll get a notebook, make you a schedule and if you stick to it, make it a habit, you should be okay." She's not the most organized person ever, but she is good at time management and getting the things done that she has to get done.
See, that'll be an incentive to help him get it all together and keep it all together because the idea of talking often is appealing. She doesn't want to lose him again, even if it's only for a few months before a break. She grins at his response. "That makes me a very, very happy not so virtual right now, girlfriend."
And Sawyer isn't comfortable enough around people in general. She's an introvert who likes her alone time so she's not worried about this whole 'enough' stuff. Besides, it'll make things all that more special when they are together. She can't help but laugh at his question. "Oh, Stilinski. You have so much catching up to do. We were never going to watch the movie."
